What You'll Be Doing:
Tax Expert: You'll play a vital role in preparing and reviewing year-end tax provisions, ensuring compliance with ASC 740, and collaborating with external tax accounting firms.
Strategic Planner: You'll be involved in preparing and reviewing quarterly tax estimates and extensions for federal and state returns.
Compliance Champion: You'll assist in the review and filing of corporate federal and state income tax returns, as well as international information returns.
Indirect Tax Oversight: You'll manage and oversee used tax computations.
Tax Controversy Support: You'll contribute to the tax audit defense and controversy process by analyzing information and collaborating on resolutions.
Technical Researcher: You'll conduct research on complex tax issues and prepare detailed memorandums.
M&A and Special Projects: You'll support mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, and special projects like R&D and transfer pricing studies.
Technology Innovator: You'll lead the evolution of tax technology tools and support technology enhancements.
Process Improver: You'll drive continuous improvement in tax processes and procedures.
Collaborative Communicator: You'll effectively collaborate with various departments and external partners.
Executive Advisor: You'll provide guidance and support to the executive management team on tax matters.
What We're Looking For:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Advanced degree strongly preferred).
CPA certification is required.
4-5+ years of accounting experience (3+ years in public accounting minimum required), including:
4-5+ years of federal and state corporate income tax compliance experience.
3+ years of tax provision experience (ASC 740).
Strong interpersonal skills and consistent follow-through.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong aptitude for process improvement.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Integrity and sound judgment.
Ability to work a hybrid schedule, with 4 days in office, and 1 day remote.

Work Environment:
This is a hybrid role requiring 4 days in-office in Des Plaines, IL, and 1 day remote.
