Union Stationary Engineer (10:30AM shift) Job ID 217040 Posted 24-Apr-2025 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Engineering/Maintenance Location(s) San Jose - California - United States of America, Sunnyvale - California - United States of America **ABOUT THE ROLE** As a CBRE Union Stationary Engineer, you will be responsible for working, repairing, providing ongoing maintenance on various pieces of building equipment and systems. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function and is responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. + Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday (10:30AM - 7:00PM) + Must be flexible; shift subject to change + Must live within designated radius of the job site to reliably work schedule/shift. **WHAT YOU'LL DO** + Plan, assemble, install, maintain, and repair building systems. + Provide system support and knowledge. + Conduct routine checks on safety devices. + Identify and correct issues. + Track and implement technical innovations and developments. + Monitor meters, gauges, and computerized controls. + Obtain manual control of equipment for necessary adjustments. + Document relevant events and facts concerning the maintenance and operation of the equipment. + Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions. + Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function. + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. + Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement. + Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams. + Work within broad guidelines and policies. + Explain difficult or sensitive information. **WHAT YOU'LL NEED** Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future. + High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma + Minimum of four (4) years of commercial HVAC/R, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing experience + Troubleshooting & Preventative Maintenance experience + CFC Universal (EPA) certification preferred **OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES** Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset. Sophisticated math skills. The negotiated rate for the role is $144,601.60 annually [or $69.52 per hour].
