JOB DESCRIPTION

Shop LC is looking for Merchandiser/Senior Buyer for Lifestyle & Fashion division who will lead product categories and execute our merchandising vision and strategy. Ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of multiple categories of buying along with experience in Apparel and Accessories products. Also, have a good supplier base in domestic market (US).

JOB RESPONSIBILTIES 

• Conduct trend research to interpret fashion trends and lifestyles for the design and launch of market ready Apparels and accessories.
• Partner with related internal teams regarding Scheduling & Planning, retail mark-ups, merchandise flow and on-time merchandise delivery
• Source vendors for the appropriate items and work closely with buying teams to purchase items in good time for delivery during peak popularity periods
• Work closely with VGL sourcing team to develop new products under our private label brands, looking for ways to expand into products and categories
• Analyze past sales figures/trends to anticipate future product needs
• Merchandising and Sourcing Products with better prices to beat our Competitors and other Retailors.
• Strong Analytical skills to manage OTB and Source Domestic vendors to manage Drop ship program 
• Show creativity and resourcefulness to come up with solutions to issues which may arise during the development process and/or in anticipation to issues which may come up in launch of new products
• Ready to go on air Live – to support product and Push Sales.
• Ready for frequent traveling to overseas locations (China /India or any other locations) for sourcing

SKILL OR EXPERIENCE

• Strong multi-unit buying background with experience in fashion/lifestyle product sourcing and buying
• Natural ability to make things happen around you. You manage project ambiguity, complexity, and obstacles in an organized and structured way. Be able to define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products. 
• Detail oriented with great organizational skills -- balancing multiple projects, deadlines, and requests should be second nature to you.
• Ability to work in low cost, high output 24/7 work environment keeping the customer first and foremost
• A positive and professional attitude with a team-player outlook and an outgoing, friendly, and approachable personality.
• The ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment, think critically, manage multiple priorities and adhere to strict deadlines.
• Strong team interpersonal skills and experience interacting with vendors
• Track record of success in creating a profitable merchandise mix utilizing forecasting, inventory management and assortment planning
• Ability to travel both domestic and international with valid passport
