A manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Job Responsibilities:

Analyze and maintain accounting records
Compile and analyze monthly operating expenses and journal entries
Develop and maintain reports and continuity schedules to facilitate analysis and decision making
Prepare and analyze a variety of monthly account reconciliations and prepare, correct, or adjust journal entries
Create and post monthly journal entries, perform full-cycle accounting, and provide month-end asset reports
Ensure accuracy of results and availability of real-time year-end/project-end forecasts
Prepare various returns to meet federal, state, and local reporting requirements
Prepare and analyze property and real estate tax returns
Maintain and improve internal processes and accounting standards
Prepare, analyze, and review paperwork for interim review and year-end audits
Manage and file annual regulatory reports and manage contacts with the billing system
Perform other duties as required

Job Qualifications:

Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred
Must have a minimum of 7 years experience in the full-cycle Accounting
Previous experience in Oracle Fusion and the utility industry is a plus
Must have strong analytical skills to analyze complex financial data
Must be able to identify and process improvements while taking the initiative to implement changes
Must have advanced proficient in Excel, familiar with Oracle accounting software, and Access skills are preferred
Must have accurate data entry skills while paying a high attention to detail
Must have the ability to use good judgement with strong problem-solving skills
Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Strong verbal and written communication skills is required
Must be able to work effectively as a team, adapt to changing business needs, and work in a fast-paced environment
Must have a high level of integrity and able to maintain confidentiality at all times
