Security Officer

HOW A SECURITY OFFICER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Administers and coordinates facility security activities
Perform standard and specialized personnel security (PerSec) processing.

Perform standard and specialized processing, of all Special Access Program Facility (SAPF) Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) operational and compliance duties.

Perform timely and accurate processing of Special Access Program (SAP) Personnel Security clearance actions/access processing throughout the lifecycle.

Provide day-to-day security support that includes continuous assessment of procedures, identifying risks and providing appropriate recommended mitigations, revising and improving security policies, procedures, and systems.

Assist in developing, implementing, and applying our Security Education, Training & Awareness (SETA) program.

Prepare for, conduct and document SAP facility Self & Annual Inspections.

Monitor, report, and track all corrective actions resulting from compliance inspections.

Conduct investigations of any loss, compromise, or suspected compromise of classified and/or sensitive information, including conducting preliminary inquiries and generating damage assessments resulting from the loss of classified information.

Ensure timely notification of security infractions, adverse actions and suspicious or known actual compromises to program stakeholders and leadership in a timely manner.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
Required Experience: At least eight (8) years of experience within DoD security administration, a minimum of three (3) of which include at the SCI and Special Access Program (SAP) level
Required Technical Skills: Understanding and ability to implement DoD security administration, including understanding and executing NISPOM and JAFAN processes and leading compliance efforts throughout JIAMDO and any supporting organization. Experience using Joint Access Database Environment (JADE) and the Defense Information System for Security (DISS).

Security Clearance Level: Top Secret required with SCI/SAP eligibility
Required Skills and Abilities: Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to senior government officials and conduct training, problem solving to find solutions to support the organization's mission while adhering to all security standards.
Location: On Customer Site, 30% time devoted to travel in support of the mission

The likely salary range for this position is $110,500 - $149,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
