Job Description

Looking for a dedicated Roll-Off Driver in Silsbee, TX, responsible for managing company vehicles for waste collection and drop-off tasks. The ideal candidate should exhibit traits like reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently. Duties include loading and unloading waste materials in the morning and loading trucks in the afternoon. Roll-off drivers are responsible for safely operating heavy-duty trucks and transporting large mobile containers to disposal sites, customer locations, and recycling facilities. Navigating through various routes such as driveways, alleys, and busy streets requires skilled driving, especially in tight spaces. Proficiency in reverse driving maneuvers is essential for success in industrial environments. Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a heavy-duty truck to transport large mobile open-top and compactor containers to disposal sites, transfer facilities, and customer locations in Silsbee, TX, US.
  • Prepare, load, and unload waste products in the morning and load trucks in the afternoon.
  • Navigate various locations, including driveways, alleyways, lots, and high-traffic roadways.
  • Perform highly skilled backing maneuvers, especially in tight overhead environments.
  • Operate in compliance with Live Oak Environmental Safety Rules, OSHA, DOT requirements, and all relevant laws.
  • Conduct pre and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment and document checks on standard DVIR.
  • Report any unsafe situations, incidents, accidents, or service-related issues promptly to the Route Manager or Dispatch.
  • Participate in all required training programs, briefings, and meetings.
  • Collaborate with Route Managers to enhance route efficiencies and identify best practices.
  • Notify management of service interruptions, damaged containers, or safety hazards.
  • Communicate customer requests effectively to management.
  • Ensure proper replacement and positioning of containers on customer properties.
  • Follow assigned routes, complete end-of-day documentation, and assist other drivers as needed.
Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job. Education and Experience • Experience: One (1) year(s) of previous experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving within the last seven (7) years. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, or Other Requirements
  • Commercial Drivers License B (CDL).
  • Hold a current Class A or B Commercial Driver's license with an air brake endorsement.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
Other Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities Required
  • Acceptable driving record is required.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Successfully completed pre-employment DOT drug screen and DOT physical.
