About The Role Brothers International Food Holdings LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst Intern to join our team in Rochester, NY. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in business analytics within the food industry, with a focus on enhancing market data reporting and tariff tracking. The intern will play a key role in supporting data-driven decision-making related to our sourcing, distribution, and sales operations. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate with a strong analytical mindset and an interest in the complexities of global food supply chains.
Responsibilities - Market Data Collection and Analysis: Assist in the collection, validation, and analysis of market data related to fruit availability, pricing trends, and competitor activity within the food industry.
- Tariff Tracking and Impact Assessment: Support the tracking and analysis of tariffs, trade regulations, and international trade policies that affect the import and export of fruit products.
- Support Supply Chain Analysis: Assist in analyzing data related to the company's supply chain, including sourcing costs, transportation logistics, and inventory management, with a focus on the impact of tariffs.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with teams across the organization, including sourcing, sales, and finance, to provide data-driven insights and support business decisions.
- Data Quality and Integrity: Assist in identifying and resolving data quality issues to ensure the accuracy and reliability of market and tariff data.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of data collection and reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc analytical projects to address specific business questions related to market conditions, pricing, and trade regulations.
- Data Visualization: Assist in creating data visualizations (charts, graphs, dashboards) to effectively communicate market and tariff information to stakeholders.
Qualifications - Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Data Science, or a related field.
- Strong interest in business analytics, market research, and international trade, particularly within the food industry.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data manipulation, formulas, charting).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Understanding of supply chain concepts and international trade terminology is a plus.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proactive attitude and a strong desire to learn.
