Job Description

The Accounting Assistant is responsible for assisting the corporate team with various accounting transactional tasks. This individual must be detail oriented and possess proven people and communication skills.  This position is responsible for providing accounting support to ensure efficient and accurate accounting operations for all facets of the corporate office.

This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

The Accounting Assistant is responsible for the following functions and tasks:
- Assist corporate office with various accounting transactions
- Assist all accounts payable processing and functions
- Work with Accounts Receivable to ensure accuracy in billing corporate wide
- Assist with payroll accuracy and completion on a bi-weekly basis
- Work closely with other clerical staff and the CFO with additional corporate functions as necessary and
appropriate
- Developing and disseminating reports to the CFO and remote communities as necessary
- Maintains confidentiality
- Maintain spreadsheets and assist in analyzing certain data as directed by the CFO

EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE USED:
Must possess the ability to use a computer, calculator, copier, phone and fax, among other equipment, to execute tasks.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs, including Excel spreadsheets.
Knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software is desired by not required.
